So, I totally stole this idea from a Facebook friend's status today but I felt like it would make for a good blog. And what kind of blogger would I be if I wasn't constantly on the lookout for new topics for my blog? That's right, I wouldn't be a blogger! By now I bet all your faithful readers are on the edge of your seats waiting to know what this exciting edition of my blog will be about, yes all three of you matter to me :)
Anyway, the status on Facebook was, "Pick 5 movies you would have to have if you were stranded on an island and just so happen to have a DVD/VHS/Blue Ray or some other contraption to play movies. Well, I got to brainstorming and I have come up with my five movies. To some of you they may not be much of a surprise. I have put them in order by my absolute favorite first.
1. The Notebook. I feel like this is a pretty obvious choice for me. I have seen this movie more times than I can count. Whenever I start to feel pessimistic about love I pop in The Notebook. Also, Ryan Gosling is my soul mate he just doesn't know it yet. One of my all time favorite movies...Once I watched three separate times in one week. Being trapped on an island, it may be nice to know that somewhere love still exists. Yes, I will be sappy but, "If you're a bird, I'm a bird." "It still isn't over" "We fight"
2. Lonesome Dove. Another quite obvious choice. One of the best Western movies ever to have been made. Well technically, it is a television series but on a deserted island it is 6 hours worth of movie that will keep me intrigued. Also, Lonesome Dove is my favorite movie to watch when I am incredibly sick. It really helps to pass the day away. Also, Gus, played by Robert Duvall is my favorite character. Not to mention that 19 year old Rick Schroder is easy on the eyes :) One of the best scenes
3. Tombstone. Yes I know, it is another Western. But hey, this is my list...NOT YOURS. One of the reasons this is on my list to have with me while I'm stranded on an island is the memories of the movie. One Christmas break when I was probably 9 or 10 I got up and put Tombstone in. Then Allie, got in bed and was watching it with me. And a little bit later, Tony, who was home from Wyoming on Christmas break climbed into bed with us and we all watched it together. My favorite scene is with Doc Holliday: "I'm your Huckle Bearer"
4. Bridesmaids. Just saw this movie the other night and I fell in love with it. I hadn't laughed that hard in a long time. This probably won't be on my favorite movie list in like five years. But right now if I was on an island I would want it to make me laugh hysterically. The car scene is my favorite and I laughed until I cried, but here is the trailer to watch. Bridesmaids Absolutely adding it to my movie collection!
5. Okay, this is where things become difficult... I couldn't pick just one movie. So I picked several. All of which I can recite incredibly long portions of the script. When these movies come on, you can bet I'm watching. And I know, I said only five but, I feel like I could substitute any of these in on any given day. Here they are :) (also they are all links to my favorite scenes) Titanic / Signs / The Goonies / Harry Potter / Finding Nemo / Beauty and the Beast / To Kill A Mockingbird / Wizard of Oz / Field of Dreams / Sweet Home Alabama
Anyway, hope you enjoyed my movies... I know I sure do. I'm actually going to pop in The Notebook or Sweet Home Alabama right meow.
Until we meet again blogosphere :)
This is my nonsensical blog I decided to write for fun. It may suck, but hey, I am no professional blogger...YET! So read it if you like or don't read it if you don't like it. BUT, here is a short synopsis: as I dive into my senior (and hopefully final year) of college read about my life, friends, family, job, and whatever else I feel like putting out into the cybersphere. Enjoy it :)

Astrological Signs :)
So, I used to just ready my horoscope occasionally but recently I started reading it like everyday. Sometimes it surprises me how dead on it is to what is happening in my life. For those of you who don't know I am a Sagittarius. It even surprises me how much of the general stuff about a Sagittarius applies to me and my personality. But, I found a website today that gives a pretty in depth description of all the astrological signs. I really just feel like whoever wrote it followed me around for awhile. Even down to the love aspects, for those of you who know my relationships (I guess you could call them that) know that I can't keep anyone around because I get sick of them :)
Anyway, this is what I found online about Sagittarius and I think its me completely. Here is the linky http://www.psychicguild.com/horoscopes_zodiac.php?sign=Sagittarius
And this is what it said about Sagittarius:
Signs of the Zodiac
By Athena Starwoman Sagittarius
Your element: Fire
Your ruling planets: Jupiter
Symbol: The Archer
Your stone: Turquoise
Life Pursuit: To live the good life
Vibration: Overly expressive - frequent burnouts
Sagittarian's Secret Desire: To make a difference in the world
Description:
Ruled by the benefic planet Jupiter, Sagittarians possess a natural exuberance, sense of adventure and love of life that makes them one of the most optimistic zodiac signs of all. Like their astrological symbol - the Archer - Sagittarians are renowned for aiming their sights towards whatever it is they find alluring - a love partner, dream job, vacation - and making it their own. They believe that anything is possible - and because of this belief system, Sagittarians are adept at seeking out their very own pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
But sometimes trying to tie down these free-spirited individuals is frustrating for those around them. Sagittarians are happiest on the move - exploring new cultures and ideas and many are attracted to occupations related to travel, the media, outdoor work and philosophical pursuits. In love, their catch-cry is "don't fence me in". But once they find a partner who understands their need to retain their own sense of self and identity, Sagittarians can be the most big-hearted, generous and fun-loving companions of all.
Freedom loving, optimistic and honest, Sagittarians are ruled by Jupiter, the planet of abundance and higher learning. The wisdom of Jupiter imbibes Sagittarians with an inherent need to develop their own unique philosophy of life. The Centaur is their astrological symbol, and it gives many insights into the Sagittarian personality. The higher-evolved Sagittarian learns to integrate the two ends of the Centaur (half-human, half-beast) in order for their arrow (another Sagittarian symbol) of higher aspirations to be more on the mark. Although they are intellectually and spiritually advanced, Sagittarians are notorious for their lack of tact. In relationships they demand independence, but when in love, it can't be denied that they are one of the most big-hearted signs of the zodiac. If you were born on the first or last day of a Sun sign, in astrological terms you were born on a cusp. If that's the case, you will probably benefit from reading your own Sun sign and the Sun sign that ends or begins right before or after your date of birth. For example, if your birth date is 22 December, your Sun sign is Capricorn, but you probably have some Sagittarian traits as well

Blog :)
So, it is over half way through our second week of class. And since I haven't blogged in a hot minute I thought I should maybe update all of my loyal followers on my life...I know you are just dying to figure out what I have been up to haha!
So, let's just start with Kerri's birthday (not to mention my arm is all healed!)...Well it was quite the night. Dinner and drinks and then drinks and more drinks. Kerri did the bone, which no one hardly saw but that's okay. As we went from bar to bar to bar to bar, Kerri finally decided she had reached her limit for the evening. Kacie and I stayed for just a couple more. As we made our way into the OP with a couple of other friends, we pondered karaoke. We selected one of America's greatest songs and submitted it. We sang, ever so amazingly, "Born In The USA" by Bruce Springsteen. Since we had been out since about 7 and it was probably close to 1, I'm pretty sure it was really good.
The next day, I come home from work at about 2 PM and Kerri is still in her dress from the night before. Needless to say, all the shots and beer she drank came back to haunt her late into the next afternoon.
Let's just fast forward a few weeks, now we are at last weekend. For those of you who aren't aware, FAC means Friday After Class. Friday After Class(FAC) is an event that happens every Friday afternoon in college towns all across our beautiful country. Well all the roommates except Haleigh and some of the Applebuddies headed over to the hill for this wondrous event.
Kerri, Megan and I went to the bar around 3:45 for FAC, our first pitcher we bought was $3.50....We finished in about 20 minutes. At this particular bar, Suds, the pitchers go up 50 cents each hour. By the time Kelsey and Kacie joined us at about 5:30 we had at least three pitchers down. All in all we enjoyed ourselves....and if Kerri, Megan, Kelsey and I went home early to go to bed it was well deserved. I made a little video for class of pictures from the night... Enjoy it :)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =HTa1RttHwd0
Hopefully we will enjoy many more FAC's this senior year of ours and also, hopefully our cases of senioritis don't get the best of us.
